Overview:
The Sr. Copywriter is responsible for generating, managing and directing messaging and storytelling for our house of brands. Do you have excellent technical and ad-copy writing capabilities? Do you have a knack for product positioning and campaign development? And do you have an interest in driving business momentum via smart creative executions? If so, this role may be the one for you!
As Sr. Copywriter, you will work closely with your Sr. Designer / Art Director counterpart and report directly to the Associate Creative Director to craft compelling collateral for both new and established brands under the Otter Products umbrella. You will also apply and enforce the established voice, tone and content, as outlined by the brand and the creative teams. Otter Products is hiring a Sr. Copywriter to join our Creative squad. This position can be based in one of our US office locations (Fort Collins, CO or San Diego, CA) or can be based 100% remotely in the US.
The Sr. Copywriter is responsible for generating, managing and directing messaging and storytelling for our house of brands. Do you have excellent technical and ad-copy writing capabilities? As Sr. Copywriter, you will work closely with your Sr. Designer / Art Director counterpart and report directly to the Associate Creative Director to craft compelling collateral for both new and established brands under the Otter Products umbrella. You will also apply and enforce the established voice, tone and content, as outlined by the brand and the creative teams.
- Drive the creation of original ideas and concepts that result in effective and compelling communication
- Develop forward-thinking creative strategies that align with current media trends
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of campaign objectives and strategies to meet them
- Manage multiple projects, with the ability to switch seamlessly
- Produce, edit and Q/A all brand, creative and marketing asset including web banners, emails, ads, web copy, whitepapers and sales collateral
- Adhere to and enforce established creative and brand guidelines
- Develop and maintain a clear and consistent brand voice
- Write clear, concise, grammatically correct copy
- Maintain knowledge of commonly used style guides
- Contribute to a positive culture and team environment
- Support and maintain a positive and safe culture by following all safety policies and procedures and actively contributing to a safe working environment
- Other duties as required
- Bachelor’s degree required. Experience in lieu of degree may be considered.
- Minimum of four years of experience in copywriting required
- Experience writing in agency or in-house agency preferred
