The Sr. Compensation Analyst role is part of the Total Rewards team, providing support to the North American business for BlueTriton Brands. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Compensation, this role will operate as a compensation subject matter expert supporting 6500+ employees across our business with operations in the US and Canada.
The Sr. Compensation Analyst will support the day-to-day compensation activities to include job evaluations and market pricing of jobs, guidance on compensation recommendations, creating job codes, and supporting the design and implementation of variable pay plans. The Sr. Compensation Analyst will support the Sr. Manager, Compensation in all matters concerning the design, development, and administration of global broad-based compensation programs (salary and non-sales short-term incentives).
Key Responsibilities
- Conducts compensation and market analysis of roles
- Creates job codes
- Assists HR Business Partners with developing job descriptions and job profiles
- Maintains and updates job library and positions in Success Factors and Market Pay
- Supports planning and execution of salary surveys; analyzes results and summarizes findings
- Assists HR Business Partners with compensation related issues
- Assists with maintaining and updating Compensation Policies and Processes
- Assists with testing, implementation, and administration of bonus programs
- Collaborates with the Sr. Manager Compensation on various projects
- Supports the business with requests related to job analysis, job evaluation, and benchmarking jobs to be competitive.
- Supports the design of special or local incentive programs, such as Sales Incentive and Retention Programs.
- Participates in benchmarking and setting of compensation targets
- Analyzes and recommends salary structures for hourly and exempt employee populations
- Provides support to the Total Rewards team for adhoc projects
Background and Experience
The ideal candidate will possess:
- 5+ years of compensation related and financial analysis
- Bachelor's degree in Business or related field. Professional certification such as Compensation Certified Professional (CCP) or similar certification (preferred).
- Advanced Excel skills are required
- Team player and effective collaborator
- Agile, ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Effective at managing change and managing ambiguity
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects and day-to-day operations concurrently
- Must be able to collect, weigh, and analyze data on many factors to determine the best compensation plan for the company
- Strong working knowledge of math and statistical processes
- Excellent understanding of relevant and emerging U.S. and Canadian compensation regulations
