Aleknagik Technology, LLC is seeking a Sr. Applications Developer to support Naval Hospital JacksonvilleThe Contractor shall provide qualified employees to provide website/application development, maintenance support during the PPS commencing 0600 through 1700, Monday through Friday, excluding Federal Holidays. The Contractor shall provide Web support that will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of the NHJ Internet and Intranet web sites. The Contractor shall attend meetings with provider and administrative personnel to gather the raw data needed to create web pages. The Contractor is responsible for providing support and access of web-based systems and for account access to specified on-line systems. The Contractor shall also assist NHJ data personnel by making data available via web-based technology to include SharePoint, COTS, Government Off the Shelf (GOTS), Hyper Text Markup language (HTML), Dynamic HTML (DHTML), Extensible Markup Language (XML), Active Server Pages (ASP) (ASP.net), and other commonly used web-related technologies. The Contractor shall assist with online transactional data systems to allow user data input and retrieval of data via web technology. Contractor shall provide systems analysis, design, integration, and implementation of applications in object-oriented or Geographical User Interface (GUI) environments.
The Contractor shall perform daily activities such as, but not limited to, processing service tickets related to Internet and Intranet content management and development; application development, support and maintenance; ensure routine backups are completed while server updates and patches are applied in accordance with DoD, DoN and Local instructions; and database administration and compliance to all applicable instructions.
The Contractor shall develop websites, applications, and mobile applications that meet the following standards:
- Shall be easy and intuitive to use for the target audience, using platforms for Apple and Android products for mobile devices as well as Web applications for local users.
- Shall be functional in a logical manner for the target audience.
- Shall be styles that are consistent throughout the application and within the associated web site, including:
- The use of capitalization (e.g., title case vs. sentence case).
- The use of punctuation (e.g., use of colons on labels).
- Error messages shall appear in a consistent location and style.
- The use of Web document notations (e.g., Portable Document Format (PDF), Document (DOC), etc.).
- Layout/spacing (e.g., the space between a field label and input control).
- Descriptive metadata titles.
- Shall adhere to industry best practices.
- Form controls that are not available shall be hidden.
- Modification and maintenance requests shall be completed within seven (7) days
- Completes the most complicated projects within a timeline of six (6) months.
- Maintains a project backlog of less than 14 days.
- Ensures all supported hardware, software and operating systems are in compliance with DISA STIGs. DISA Gold Disk standards, SCAP, IAVM notices, CTOs, etc. prior to deployment and shall remain compliant after deployment
- Bachelor’s Degree in a computer science related field and three (3) years of experience with SharePoint (2010/2013) administration and development to include custom development using Info Path, creating custom workflows, webparts, components, tools and forms OR six (6) years of experience with SharePoint (2010/2013) administration and development to include custom development using Info Path, creating custom workflows, web-parts, components, tools and forms. Education from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
- Knowledge and experience in the following: File formats used in delivery of Web content. Working with Internet security principles and protocols such as Security Sockets Layer (SSL) and encryption. Database management principles and methods. DoD and Navy (or equivalent) IT security methods to maintain the integrity of Web server. Internet/Intranet design principles and methodology, Active Server Pages (ASP), ASP+, standard graphics, mark-up languages, programming, visual basic scripting, .NET, Windows Visual Basic Application tool, DHTML, SQL, streaming video and scripting languages and tools. Graphical design, web enables graphic creation, color palette etc.
- Certifications and education: Current Security +CE (enrolled in CEP) Certifications required. Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert: SharePoint (MCSE) or Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD).
- Active Secret Clearance Required or ability to obtain a Secret Clearance, US citizen
