John Soules Foods is one of the leading companies in our field that provides great tasting beef and chicken through retail sales, food service distributors, restaurants, and school nutrition programs.
We are seeking a talented Specification & Label Technician for our Gainesville location. This position reports to the R&D Director and is responsible for producing and coordinating production specifications and labeling procedures.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Responsible for producing product specifications.
- Responsible for producing product labels.
- Responsible for coordinating product label approvals with USDA.
- Responsible for proofing film and labels per USDA regulations.
- Responsible for contacting ingredient suppliers for needed information, as necessary.
- Responsible for managing specification changes.
- Responsible for completing customer requested forms pertaining to specifications.
- Responsible for other lab duties as specified by the R&D Director.

Qualifications, Education and Experience:
- 5 Years of Experience
- Education: Some college level work preferred. High School or equivalent required.
