Job Overview

ESAHEC is seeking a Special Initiatives Program Manager to execute ESAHEC's goals related to community engagement and strategic partnerships. The SIPM is responsible for communicating with various community-based stakeholders to ensure awareness of various ESAHEC initiatives and services. We are searching for a talented and professional SIPM to maintain all special initiatives community outreach activities. You will represent the company and work with the management team to develop and implement initiatives that increase company visibility within the surrounding community. You need to be self-motivated, enthusiastic, and community-driven to take on this exciting role. This position requires someone equipped with a positive attitude and readiness to be a team player. A hybrid remote and in-person schedule is permissible for this role.

Responsibilities & Duties

Community Engagement

  • Maintain a calendar of outreach activities, including community events, workshops, appearances, and other communication opportunities.
  • Nurture new and old relationships with collaborative partners.
  • Develop and maintain meaningful relationships with community stakeholders.
  • Attend programs, services, and events that present outreach opportunities, both on-site and off-site, and serve as an ambassador at these events, ensuring a culture of customer service and friendly engagement for all in attendance.
  • Support community engagement programs as needed and assist the division with special projects.

Organizational Support

  • Orient and build ESAHEC's staff knowledge on Dorchester County's workforce ecosystem, specifically, within the non-profit community.
  • Collaborate with the Community Impact and Engagement Manager to prepare external-facing materials related to special initiatives and services including but not limited to slide decks, program impact reports, meeting agendas and materials, and outcomes and data presentations.
  • Substitute teach in emergency situations and serve as an additional program teacher when needed.

Data Analysis and Strategic Planning

  • Work closely with all departments to ensure continuous awareness of ESAHEC initiatives, services, outcomes, etc.
  • Collaborate with community-based stakeholders to identify community needs and service improvement opportunities for ESAHEC.
  • Operate and oversee special initiative programs.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate program courses and pricing to generate revenue and FTE.
  • Collaborate with various college departments to ensure program success and expansion as appropriate.
  • Develop and oversee program budgets as cost center manager such that the overall program consistently generates revenue above and beyond expenses.
  • Administer the production of programs by scheduling courses, faculty and facilities for Special Initiative programs.
  • Increase student enrollment in the programs through school engagement.
  • Collaborate with the marketing staff to develop a marketing plan, promotional pieces, and update program website pages to generate program enrollment.
  • Serve as point-of-contact to insure customer satisfaction by answering inquiries and solving problems for special initiative program courses.
  • Represent programs at community events for marketing purposes.
  • Analyze course evaluation (student satisfaction), enrollment and fiscal data to determine future programming needs (course revision, expansion, repetition, deletion, instructor assignment, re-assignment, etc.).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human services, development, education, social work, public health or related field required.
  • Experience in volunteer management, project management, community organizing or other related areas required.
  • Driver’s license and valid transportation required.
  • Efficient in Microsoft Office and database management; willingness to learn new applications and identify innovative ways for technology to support organizational objectives.
  • Excellent communication skills; able to communicate effectively and articulately in writing and orally.
  • Solid relationship management skills enhancing internal organizational relations and external community interactions.
  • Some evening and weekend hours required for community events.
  • Up to 50% Travel within the Eastern Shore.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
