Special Education Staffing Specialist
Job description
Blue Sea provides legal, educational, and clinical placement and consulting services for over 70 school districts throughout Long Island.
The ideal candidate we are seeking is a positive, professional, with high energy who has experience in provider staffing. An understanding and dedication to internal and external customer service, very proficient in building relationships, Microsoft and data entry is a must.
Position overview:
The Staffing Specialist is responsible for identifying and placing appropriate therapists and educators to provide special education services while utilizing superior communication and organization skills. Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify and assign providers to staff cases requested by school districts.
- Conduct phone interviews and schedules interviews for candidates
- Build rapport with providers to ensure compliance and enhance company growth.
- Track and report key performance data ongoing to the management team.
- Complete tasks and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Customer service and oral/written communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Takes initiative and manages workflow independently.
- Critical thinker and problem solver.
- Energetic, confident and positive attitude.
- Computer proficient with MS Office Suite
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required
- Experience with, and/or passion for Special Education
Benefits:
- PTO: Eligible after 3-month probationary period. Proceeding successful completion of this period, 7 days can be used within the remaining 1st year of employment. 2-4 years of employment: 15 days of PTO. 5-10 years: 20 days PTO.
