St. Bede Academy has been providing quality Catholic education in North Central Illinois for over 130 years. We're looking for an enthusiastic, committed and responsible Spanish teacher to join our team. Applicants must be comfortable with teaching both introductory and higher-level courses. It's important that candidates have a passion for education and a genuine love of working with students of all ages to ensure success in the classroom.

Responsibilities:

• Instruct students in Spanish language classes.
• Maintain positive learning environment for students.
• Create lesson plans for Spanish classes.
• Create tests and homework assignments for Spanish classes.
• Make up exams and quizzes for Spanish classes.
• Define learning objectives for the school year.
• Assign homework and projects to be completed by students.
• Write lesson plans for Spanish classes.
• Provide feedback on student work.
• Help students understand intercultural issues.

Salary is commensurate with education and experience. Salary matches or beats many of the public schools in our area. Benefits include: health, dental and life insurance, 5% pension contribution after vested, one meal per day and a 50% tuition discount per enrolled St. Bede student.
