Cava Restaurant, located in Southington, is hiring an experienced Sous Chef/Line Cook to join our great team.

Strong kitchen line cooking skills with experience in grill, saute and pantry plus the dedicated attention to the details of recipe execution with each and every plate..

Minimum 4 years line cooking experience, culinary degree preferred

Varied lunch / dinner, weekends and holidays shifts are required.

Requirements/Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

• . Food preparation and service for all meal periods
• . Recipe adherence and daily specials creation with an emphasis on Italian cuisine
• . Training and supervising kitchen staff
• . Adhering to food and facility safety requirements
• . Ensuring that quality and cost standards are consistently obtained
• . Inventory, ordering, scheduling with cost controls

Sous Chef should have a positive attitude and be able to communicate clearly, professionally, concisely and respectfully.

Must have a flexible schedule and able to work varied shifts including weekends.
