About the Job

Geneverse is seeking a talented individual to join our growing team as a Solar Channel Sales Director. The Solar Channel Sales Director is responsible for leading a team of sales managers and associates in sourcing and managing sales leads in the solar channel. We need someone who is familiar with the overall solar and energy storage industry with a proven track record in sales. You will be responsible for leading the expansion of our whole home energy storage products by developing relatinoships with and selling to solar installers and distributors. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of solar, battery storage or comparable energy industry experience. This role will have a hybrid work structure requiring 2-3 days on-site per week. We need someone who lives in or is willing to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area.

Responsibilities

· Develop channel sales strategies, goals and objectives to work to target and penetrate the solar industry

· Identify, build and leverage successful relationships with solar reseller partners.

· Leverages sales skills to co-sell and support reseller sales activities.

· Lead sales team in sourcing and managing sales leads – selling our product line within the solar channel

· Manages existing partners and partner programs, including actively engaging new channel partners.

· Develop and execute on market entry strategies through market research, networking, internal referrals, establishing relationships with channel partners and advisors, and tracking industry trends

· Collaborate with Marketing to lead the design and creation of sales and promotional material packages for presentation to potential clients/projects. Coordinate and conduct meetings/webinars for sales prospects

· Responsible for meeting/exceeding revenue goals and all other established KPIs

· Develop a targeted sales plan focused on achieving revenue growth and sustainable cashflows

· Maintain and update contacts within the CRM system. Manage and oversee sales team to ensure timely updates within CRM system

· Travel regularly and source meetings to expand the opportunity set (Travel 15%-25%)

Qualifications:

· Bachelors’ Degree in Marketing, Business or a related field is required

· 10+ years in Sales with experience leading sales team

· Previous experience in renewable energy: solar and battery storage

· Strong leadership skills, experience managing a remote team is a plus

· Start-up experience is a plus

· Strong communication skills

· Ability to multi-task and collaborate with cross-functional teams

· Self-directed and motivated to manage priority workload is a MUST

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range: $100,000 - $150,000 base + commission/bonus

Benefits: Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance. PTO includes vacation time, sick time and holiday pay, 401(k) with company match up to 4%

Pay: $100,000.00 - $185,000.00 per year
