Summary

The Software Quality Assurance Engineer will work in challenging and collaborative environments to develop efficient software testing suites to ensure product quality and reliability.

• Have unrestricted and continuing employment authorization in the US or US Citizen

Duties/Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the project team and stakeholders to analyze and provide feedback on requirements, specifications, and technical design documents
• Develop, execute, and maintain manual and automated end-to-end testing suites on software products and mobile applications
• Generate high-quality QA documentation (i.e., Test Plans, Test Procedures, Software Defects, Traceability, Quality Metrics) to ensure compliance with requirements
• Collaborate with the project team and adapt to project flow without compromising Quality
• Report testing progress to Managers and other stakeholders against planned testing activities and schedules
• Collaborate in either a Test Driven Development or a Behavior-Driven Development environment
• Work closely with Product and Development teams in local and remote locations

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  
• Strong understanding of Software Quality Assurance methodologies, defect tracking tools, test management tools, and processes
• Strong organizational, analytical, and presentation skills as well as an attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication, problem-solving, multi-tasking, and time management skills
• Experience designing and documenting unit and applications test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures
• Experience in Troubleshooting (ability to isolate & troubleshoot technical issues by leveraging automated testing methodologies)

Technical Abilities:

• Experience with Test Automation Frameworks and creating automated testing scripts
• Experience in Batch & Bash scripting
• Knowledge of at least one programming language (Ruby or Python)
• Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming concepts
• Experience in software testing and code analysis
• Experience debugging and troubleshooting

Experience:

• 5+ years of proficient software testing experience working on software products / mobile applications
  
• 2+ years prior experience as a Software QA supporting client-server applications
• Experience with testing apks on Andriod devices and/or emulated environments
• Experience with Android Studio, ADB, and logcat
• Experience with TDD or BDD software practices
• Experience with the following SDLC tools: Jira, JAMA, qTest, Confluence, Jenkins, Github
• Experience testing mobile applications and analyzing system/application log files
• Experience in Agile Testing and participating in Agile ceremonies

Desired Experience:

• Experience in using AWS cloud solutions
• Experience with Android Automotive Operating Systems (AAOS)
• Experience in back-end testing, testing APIs, and front-end automation testing

Education

• BS Engineering or SW Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience required. MS Engineering is desired
