STC, Inc. is searching for a developer to join our engineering team. This is a salaried full-time position with benefits located at our McLeansboro, Illinois engineering facility .

This position involves various software and hardware-related tasks within a fast-paced environment. Application development in the PC, embedded system, and mobile environments are the primary responsibility. However additional areas of responsibility may include: Linux kernel and driver development, embedded-Linux-system development and maintenance, MS Windows server-application development, SQL development, web application development, and basic electrical engineering.

Proficiency in C, C++, C# or Java is preferred. Experience with Borland C++ builder/Delphi/VCL, Qt, Linux systems and development, Android or Apple iOS development is a plus. Experience with JavaScript, GPS, or mapping services (such as Google maps) and any electrical engineering or electronics experience is also a plus.

This is an entry-level position with room for growth. Training in ancillary areas (electronics, Linux, etc) is available, but good programming skills are a requirement for the position. Associates degree or higher in Computer-Science related field is recommended. Equivalent job experience may be considered. Salary amount will be commensurate with education and experience.
