Lotion / Tincture / Natural Wellness Product Making Associate

We are seeking candidates who are hard-working, self-directed, and detail-oriented to join our team. Things change often around here -- as we grow, we constantly add new processes and equipment. Work is fast-paced and we are always busy!

This is a physically demanding job! Please take the time to read the paragraphs below to see what is entailed.

Responsibilities include:

• Making very large batches of our product line from detailed recipes
• Measuring, mixing, melting, and combining 50+ pounds of ingredients to create products
• Straining, bottling, boxing, and labeling thousands of finished products using provided machinery
• Keeping all spaces clean and organized

All work is done in a team environment, with team members coordinating to complete daily tasks. Our team believes everyone deserves to be treated with respect and dignity.

Several large-batch products are made daily, and hundreds of orders are shipped. Being willing to do whatever task is needed or required is important; the entire team works towards all goals, no task is ever ‘beneath’ anyone, no matter how ordinary. We work in a warehouse environment - you will be on your feet for the majority of your shift. It is important you are able to lift full 5 gallon buckets of oils and/or butters high enough to pour them. Coordination and dexterity are key in this position.

We believe in freedom + responsibility. That means that once you are trained, we trust you to do your job and don't micromanage. You will never be docked for coming in 5 minutes late or having to leave early for an appointment. On the flip side, we expect responsibility -- someone who chooses to come to work when they are scheduled to do so, who communicates changes and needs, and who sees themselves as an important and necessary part of a team.

Basic math skills are required, as recipes are incredibly specific, and large orders can also require math. Keeping a clean and orderly work area is important too.

There will be opportunity for advancement as the company grows, especially for those with skills in customer service, marketing, creative, or IT. We are launching a Leadership Institute in April 2022 to invest in our team members who are interested in future leadership roles at the company. We vastly prefer to develop our leaders from within, and the most important prerequisite is a passionate work ethic! (We don't care about college degrees; there are many other ways to learn.)
