West Valley Staffing Group is currently seeking an SMT Production Lead for an exciting opportunity in Milpitas, CA!

Summary:

Supports production of product, ensuring the smooth and safe operation of assigned areas of the production line. May sometime do actual production job along with subordinates. Has advanced production knowledge as well as beginning supervisor experience. Spends 90% of time on production floor. Steps in the absence of Supervisor.

Responsibilites:

• Accountability for supporting/coaching the team to deliver daily work metrics.
• Fills customer or sales orders, following order ticket and specific instructions from supervisor.
• Prioritizes workflow and communicating priories effectively.
• Reports production metrics and any concerns to manager daily.
• Accountability for maintaining safe workspace.
• Ensures employees take meal breaks in compliance with California State Law.
• Provides on the spot coaching to employees regarding safety concern, reports to supervisor immediately.
• Accountability for supporting on the job skill development of team members.
• Provides on the spot coaching, and communicates need for more detailed training to supervisor.
• Recognizes outstanding performance regularly.
• Accountability for problem solving minor production/operational issues.
• Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
• Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of employees.
• Accountability for maintaining an engaged and productive work culture.
• Adheres to and encourages use of the companies open door policy.
• Accountability for elevating process and performance issues to the “supervisor” in a timely manner.
• Accountability for providing input in performance management work.
• Provides written comments to support annual performance evaluation process.
