Printpack, a leading manufacturer of flexible packaging products, is seeking qualified candidates to fill one (1) Slitter Operator position at their Jackson facility located in Jackson, Tennessee.

This is a 3rd shift position (11p-7a) M-F. Candidate must be able to train on day shift for 4-6 months.
Starting pay $19.78/hr + $2.50/hr night shift differential for hours worked between 7p-7a.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Slitter in order to:
- Ensure safety
- Perform to quality, waste, and production standards and goals
- Meet or exceed the customers (both internal and external) expectations
- Meet the highest of quality standards
- Communicate orally and/or in writing to other departments for resolution of mechanical problems, reporting defective material, coordination of job preparations, changeovers and daily shift information
- Report production accurately and timely through Prism to include waste, WIP, time codes, raw materials, etc.
- Ensure your own safety while operating the machine and that of those assisting with operations
- Manage the duties of an operator, including but not limited to:
- Prepare master rolls for slitting
- Place rolls in machine and prepare for splicing
- Properly segregate and label all materials (as appropriate) – for work in process, rewinds, trash, and hold)
- Assist in removing rolls from rewind (as necessary
- Remove and weigh startup rolls/materials at beginning of job
- Perform daily housekeeping duties to keep area clean and organized during setup, run and end of shift
- Remove and weigh all waste
- Keep trash waste separated from recycle materials
- Properly store all unused equipment
Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma or GED
Preferred:
Experience in an industrial manufacturing setting.
