The duties of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting with and teaching personal cares and activities of daily living ( money management, cooking, cleaning, hygiene, etc.)
- Monitoring client medications
- Assisting with assigned therapies such as relaxation techniques
- Journaling
- Diet and Exercise Monitoring
- Providing opportunities to participate in community and social activities
- Assisting clients in reaching his/her service plan goals
- Completing necessary paperwork
- Household duties
Previous experience working with adults with developmental disabilities a plus but not mandatory.
