Deschutes Rheumatology offers Bone Densitometry, & Musculoskeletal Ultrasounds
We administer services as prescribed by each patient's physician. Once authorization is received from your insurance and any necessary baseline testing has been received, you will be contacted to schedule your infusion or injection. It is always important to review with the infusion nurse any recent medications, illnesses, surgeries and or other changes in your health prior to beginning your treatment.

The utility of ultrasound to assist in the diagnosis and management of rheumatologic and musculoskeletal diseases is now widely recognized in the field of rheumatology, but few rheumatologists have the training to offer such a service as part of their practice. Dr. Amy Madison is certified by the American College of Rheumatology in musculoskeletal ultrasound, and she is currently the only rheumatologist in Bend, Oregon who is utilizing this beneficial technology. Ultrasound often allows for the diagnosis and management of a disease to be completed at the same time, saving the patient time and money.

  3-5 years working in a physician practice is required

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3-5 years of equivalent experience
• Previous experience in management, customer service, front desk service, or other related fields
• Exceptional customer service skills and professional phone manner
• Working knowledge of medical terminology and practices
