Experience & Skills Required:

• Critical thinking
• Teamwork driven
• Leadership skills
• Clean & Valid California Driver's License/Insurable by company carrier
• 2+ years working as a mechanic with misc. equipment and vehicles
• Mechanic who can quickly learn multiple pieces of equipment (striping rigs, seal rigs, crack fill machines, paving machines, pressure washers, skid steers, forklifts, compressors, box brooms, etc.)

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and Maintain Shop and Yard in accordance with the Organizational Plan
• Report to Logistics Manager any issues with equipment misuse, crew organization, etc.
• Complete monthly truck and trailer inspections
• Responsible for checking pre- and post-trip forms daily and fixing equipment on time
• Fill out maintenance records and confirm close-out of pending repairs
• Maintain equipment/trucks/trailers, following Maintenance Schedule
• Responsible for overall Facility Safety
• Attend weekly Team Meetings
• Inspects equipment/trucks/trailers when returned to the shop, and reports bad conditions or misuse
• Stage equipment/materials for the next day’s jobs
