Burrtec is a well-established refuse and recycling collection company serving various municipalities throughout Southern California. Burrtec continues to grow through co. acquisitions and successful bid proposals. We have the following position at our San Bernardino division:
Shop Clerk
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Inputs and retrieves inventory and billing information using a variety of software programs including Fleetmate, and Excel.
- Add new part(s)/material information to file records within a CMMS and create new equipment records as necessary.
- Order repair parts/material and maintain Parts Room inventory within standard
- Locate and retrieve information in response to requests regarding records and files timely.
- Purge outdated files, transferring them to inactive storage according to file maintenance guidelines and/or legal requirements.
- Properly place files into receptacles, such as file cabinets, boxes, bins, or drawers, according to classification and identification information.
- Create and run billing and invoice reports as needed.
- Must be able to perform basic arithmetical computations to reconcile physical count with inventory records and part(s) ' material requisitions’
- Checks incoming parts ' materials for quality and quantity against invoices, purchase orders, packing slips, or other documents.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Able to type a minimum of 60 WPM.
- Excellent computer skills including Word, Excel, email and internet based applications
- Excellent organizational abilities, multi tasking, prioritization, time management.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high volume environment.
- Takes the initiative, requires minimal supervision.
- Must have good communication skills.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
- Previous parts/material, inventory and data entry experience preferred.
PHYSICAL
- Ability to move objects weighing less than 50 pounds for short distances.
- Manual dexterity and vision sufficient to operate a personal computer for long periods of time without experiencing abnormal hand, wrist or eye strain.
- Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Work area is primarily in an office setting and may have fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.
- Will be exposed to moderate noise and dust levels.
