Shipping Specialist Supervisor

Job Description

Signature Solar’s Shipping Specialist Supervisor will serve as the direct point of contact for all shipping specialists as well as the liaison between the warehouse and the fulfillment teams. This role will lead day-to-day logistics within the company’s shipping department, including fulfillment operations, inventory allocation planning, backorder management, quality control, staffing, procedural development, and improvement.

The main goals of a Shipping Specialist Supervisor are to work closely with the Operational team and Partner Carriers to execute fulfillment strategies to help achieve the company's higher-level goals. The Shipping Specialist Supervisor’s other duties include overseeing Shipping Specialists (including fulfillment, freight invoice auditing, reconciliation, process improvements/automations and additional logistics team members), and working alongside the team to manage fulfillment processes.

A candidate that exemplifies core strengths in accuracy, accountability, time management, record keeping, and attention to detail would excel in this role. This role is centered around providing superior service to our customers and ensuring the company logistics department runs smoothly.

A successful candidate must be able to:

• Auditing freight invoices and releasing payments to accounts payable

• Reviewing carrier contracts and revising with companies to ensure the most effective policies are in place

• Optimizing order fulfillment through proactive forecasting and collaboration with internal teams to ensure success (Proactive Solution Based Mindset),

• Overseeing and coordinating daily order fulfillment activities, including order processing, picking, packing, and shipping preparation

• Communicate daily with Operations on any order status, shipping status, and any issues pending

• Compare identifying information such as weights, counts, or measures items of outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, packing lists, or other records

• Identify inaccuracies and ensure discrepancies are corrected

• Strong leadership skill through mentoring and coaching team members to ensure employee growth

• Work alongside a team to ensure that the company’s processes and procedures are the most effective

Qualifications:

• Preferred Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or other related fields

• UPS, FedEx, and USPS shipping experience

• Demonstrates sound decision-making and a positive attitude

• Superior organizational and documentation skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday

• Sulphur Springs, TX 75482: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
