Description: If you have experience packing orders for small-package carries and freight companies, and have worked previously coordinating or completing paperwork associated with various carrier services such as UPS, USPS, FedEx Freight and many more you may be an ideal fit for this position.
Requirements: This role performs tasks involving the processing of incoming material to the appropriate bodies in-house and can facilitate finished product or goods outbound to their appropriate destinations. Maintains the storage (both long and short term), picking and shipment of all products. Oversees the movement of received materials, and supplies. Collaborates and communicates with logistics companies, customer service representatives, sales representatives, production, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products. Tracks, traces, and updates the status of outgoing shipments.
To be considered for this opening you must be at least eighteen (18) years of age and have least one (1) year of experience in a shipping/receiving department with direct involvement in planning, and/or packing shipments for freight and small parcel carriers. Special consideration shall be given to candidates that have experience working with FedEx Freight, UPS Freight, LTL Freight Carriers, UPS Small Package and all paperwork and computer systems associated with generating required BOL and shipment labels.
This job requires using hands, arms, legs, and feet, to move, lift, push, or pull cargo on to and off the vehicle, standing or sitting for prolonged periods of time, lifting/Carrying a weight maximum of 50Lbs unassisted, gripping, grasping or repetitive use of hands, the use of fine motor skills with small objects, and the use of the hands, arms, legs, and feet.
An employee in this role must be able to communicate with coworkers and external entities such as customers and vendors, effectively and patiently. And they must be comfortable working in English, both written and conversational.
Throughout a workday, they are expected to manage one’s own time ensuring assigned tasks are completed as scheduled.
There is routine use of a computer workstation within a Windows operating system. Therefore, an applicant must be proficient with Microsoft Office 365, including, Excel, Word, Outlook, and Worldship Shipping Software (UPS United States) or rapidly be able to become proficient.
Within six months of date of hire it is expected that this employee shall acquire and maintain forklift license and operate a forklift in a safe and productive manner. The company provides training and certification.
Compensation from $23.25/Hour (with an overtime rate of $34.875/Hour).
This is a Full-time Position
Hours and Days: Typically, Monday through Friday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, some days overtime is needed between 4:30 and 5:30 PM.
