Position Summary
BEER NUTS Inc. is hiring a Shipping Associate. Do you enjoy the challenge of meeting deadlines and working in a team environment? The shipping position is primarily responsible for meeting daily shipping demands and fulfilling orders on time and in full. Keep warehouse organized, inventory updated and report inventory to production manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Using a forklift to load and unload trailers.
• Teamwork and Communication in a positive and respectful manner to resolve all issues.
• Handles incoming and outgoing packages in a warehouse.
• Employees may be required to follow other job-related instructions and to perform other job-related duties as requested.
• Tracking inventory, keeping accurate records, packaging, printing shipping labels, postage, and inspecting goods received for damage.
• Organizes and palletizes cases efficiently and moves materials with pallet jack or forklift.
• Identifies and moves proper materials to be placed into production area for filling, labeling, and packaging of products.
• Ability to read, sort, check, count, and verify numbers.
• Match packing slip quantities to items on pallet
• Verify specifications are correct
• Pull orders for shipment
• Ensure production line is covered
• Keep paperwork organized to ensure others are knowledgeable of where the shipment is in the process
• Keep appropriate records such as receiving, shipping, and cleaning reports
• Ship product using UPS
• Count inventory daily

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
• Computer experience: Typing skills, Internet, Excel, ERP, iPad savvy.
• Fork Truck experience – 2 years preferred.
• 4 years shipping and warehouse experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift 55 pounds.
• Ability to be a team player.
• Possesses strong communication, organization, multi-tasking, and attention to detail skills.
• Possess a positive attitude, be efficient, and productive.
• Must be dependable and reliable.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Work involves considerable exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises. Moderate physical activity. Requires standing and or walking for more than four (4) hours per day. Work environment will involve exposure to peanuts/nuts, please take note if you have any nut allergies. Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.

Pay:

$21.00 to $25.00/hr. depending on experience

Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00 A.M-4:30 P.M

Shift times may vary due to truck volume
