Job description

Our Baton Rouge office is recruiting for passionate team members for a local manufacturing warehouse shipping and receiving clerk. The warehouse associate will be responsible for the overall organization of the warehouse facility in terms of shipping/receiving, inventory handling, and delivery.

Duties are as follows:

  • Unload, receive/ship, and inventory stock promptly.
  • Keep accurate records.
  • Handle all aspects of shipping and receiving
  • Package items
  • Type and Print shipping labels
  • Weigh packages
  • Verify purchase order notes and pull materials
  • Arrange for freight shipment pick-up
  • Load trucks
  • Palletize items
  • General housekeeping clean-up on docks and shipping areas

Qualifications:

  • Current and valid driver's license
  • Must be willing to submit to drug and background screening
  • Must be able to work 8am-5pm M-F
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Performing general labor, set up, tear down and moving of items
  • Must be able to lift 75 lbs
  • Must be reliable and professional with a positive attitude
  • Must be personable
  • Steel-toe boots required
