Job description

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

To safely load and unload trucks to support timely shipments to the customer or to support production requirements. Responsible for the accurate verification of components being shipped/received and that the associated paperwork is accurate and complete.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Will drive the box truck between the warehouse and manufacturing buildings.

Work from the job list or other instructions to stage, load, prepare or receive components and supplies. Maintain the movement of components and materials to and from designated areas.

Operate both stand up and sit down forklifts and other equipment in a safe manner, and complete regular safety checks.

Operate and load/unload company box truck in the transportation of components and parts between buildings.

Maintain housekeeping of the general areas surrounding the shipping and receiving offices and docks.

Verify counts and ensure that all documents are accurate and complete.

Break down components, repackages, and re-labels as required to support service requirements.

Help count and verify inventory status, including maintaining the chip boards.

Break down sea containers and repack parts received with components and pass through parts.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Logistics Supervisor and/or Logistics Manager.

REQUIREMENTS:

Box Truck training

Minimum of a high school diploma

Must have a valid driver’s license

Must have a license to operate a forklift or be able to obtain a forklift operator’s licensewithin two (2) weeks

Physically demanding; requires lifting at times up to 50#’s, driving a forklift six (6) or more hours a shift, and being able to get on and off the forklift numerous times

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.95 per hour
