We’re looking for an amazing Revenue Management Operations (HAL) professional to fill this role, which is based in our Seattle office. You’ll be responsible for m aximizing revenue on assigned sailings by closely monitoring and controlling the number of cabins and guarantees available for sale. Offer special paid upgrades to guests. Assign cabins to passengers booked as guarantees. Provide shipboard and pier personnel with complete passenger information in a timely manner. Resolve any oversells of passenger inventory.

Here’s a summary of what Holland America Line is looking for in its Ship Inventory Specialist. Is this you?

Responsibilities

• Review assigned sailings to determine any changes needed to passenger inventory. Adjust space as necessary based on current sales requirements. Offer space to waitlisted passengers as required.
• Review assigned sailings and evaluate space required to berth all passengers in a timely manner. Assign cabins for reservations booked as guarantees, process cabin upgrades, offer complimentary and paid upgrades as required.
• Resolve over sold sailings before sail date. Ensure all administrative details are handled correctly including new bookings, refund amounts, gift orders, and document processing.
• Provide shipboard and pier personnel with complete passenger information in a timely manner. Resolve any oversells of passenger Inventory.
• Act as troubleshooter for assigned sailings. Solve problems as requested by other departments, travel agents, shore operations and shipboard personnel, including problems at embarkation and during the sailing.
• Assist in the administration of the standby program. Monitor number of applications, answering phone/email inquiries from potential passengers, making reservations and taking payments.
• Assist in the administration and confirmation of all reduced rate bookings including Employee/Relative rates, Travel Agent rates, staff (vacation and business) and other free reservations. Ensure that payment is received as necessary.

Requirements

• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and work efficiently under pressure
• Familiar with Microsoft products (outlook, excel, word)
• Prior experience with POLAR
