ASRT, Inc. provides scientific, information management, management consulting, bioinformatics, and administrative program support to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other Federal and private sector clients. The successful candidate will be a full-time employee of ASRT, Inc., and will be assigned to the Meningitis Laboratory, Meningitis and Vaccine Preventable Diseases Branch (MVPDB), Division of Bacterial Diseases (DBD), National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases (NCIRD), at the CDC, 1600 Clifton Road, Atlanta, GA to provide web development support for the MVPDB.
SCOPE OF WORK
The SharePoint Developer will provide expertise in the development of web sites and similar experiences for the MVPDB in order to accomplish their mission goals and objectives.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Providing expertise in the design and layout of graphical user interfaces for internal and external facing sites.
- Ensuring compliance with CDC and HHS security and system development and development standards. Leveraging technology to recommend technical solutions to web design challenges.
- Collaborating with appropriate developers and providing sufficient information for designing, building, and maintaining sites.
- Developing, assessing, and communicating website usage analytics.
- Designing and developing MVPDB SharePoint site, which includes workflow development and document management and sharing.
- Designing and developing Power BI dashboards, visuals, and maps.
- Developing and managing excel documents that utilize power query editor.
- Providing training and instruction to MVPDB staff as needed regarding the use and or development of SharePoint site components.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
- Master of Public Health (MPH) with emphasis on communication or BA or Master's in Communications, Computer Science with significant experience developing websites and health/science content.
Required:
- 1-3 years of work experience in public health.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Development skills with various web site development tools such as Cascade, SharePoint and Infopath development.
- Experience with coding in HTML, JavaScript, XML, and CSS.
- Experience in creating web-based workflows and forms.
- Knowledge of web design and site implementation.
- Knowledge using various tools for reporting and analysis of website statistics.
- Excellent organizational, intrapersonal, writing and speaking skills for working with an interdisciplinary team including scientific and non-scientific collaborators.
- Experience preparing written documents; documenting processes and workflows.
- Experience with Web Content Management System (WCMS).
- Expert knowledge of CDC's web application environment.
Desirable:
- Strong background in data and document management.
- Experience in data systems.
Language Skills:
- The candidate must possess excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
REQUIREMENT:
- Must be a United States citizen or permanent resident or have authorization for employment in the United States.
