Mustang Cat, in partnership with Ditch Witch South Texas, the leader in underground construction equipment, has opportunities for qualified Service Technicians in the Harlingen area.

The primary responsibility of a Ditch Witch Dealership Service Technician is to provide maintenance, necessary repairs, and machine set up to ensure proper operation of equipment.

Service Technician job duties include:

• Complete equipment troubleshooting and repairs involving mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Perform make-ready jobs
• Ensure shop cleanliness and organization
• Maintain safe and productive work environment
• Record labor times
• Additional duties as assigned

This position will interact regularly with outside customers and requires someone with an outgoing and professional personality to ensure exceptional customer service.

Required skills and qualifications:

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Associates degree or certificate from technical school preferred
• Understanding of electrical and hydraulic systems, with the ability to read schematics
• Understanding of diesel and gas engines
• Must own proper tools to perform necessary repairs
• Experience as a diesel technician, automotive technician, heavy equipment technician or other mechanic type role.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is required
• Safety focused
• Self-motivated and eager to learn

Houston - 290 address: 12800 Northwest Freeway, Houston, TX 77040. 290 East (From Beltway 8): exit is Pinemont/Bingle/43rd St, make a u-turn under the highway at Bingle and stay on the service road. 290 West (From I-610): exit is Pinemont/Bingle/43rd St and stay on the service road until you see Mustang Cat on the right. The main entrance to the parking lot is off of the service road.

Important information regarding parking and HR office location: The entrance to Mustang’s Human Resources department is located at the southeast end of the loading dock. (Or, the far right end of the loading dock if you are facing away from HWY 290.) There is Visitor Parking in front of the 3-story building next to the flagpole, and alongside the side street, Burr Oak. Check in with the HR Receptionist in the lobby and she will notify the team when you arrive.
