We are looking for someone who has a mix of creative talent, as well as analytical mind. We are a small but growing digital marketing company in New Mexico looking to hire an SEO Copywriter to help our clients improve their search ranking.

Do you enjoy writing in a variety of genres and styles? Are you the kind of person who can instantly think of five synonyms for a word, and understands the nuances of each of them? Do you care about using language in a precise way? Do you do your best writing under deadline? If so, let's talk.

Responsibilities include:

* Researching keyword search trends

* Working to optimize content (copy, images, etc) with keywords

* Writing blog posts, articles, product descriptions with keywords

* Writing ad copy, product descriptions and other content for social media and email newsletters

* Run Search Analytics reports, analyze the data and suggest tactics for improving search ranking

* Examine web pages to evaluate search optimization opportunities

* Train clients on SEO basics via phone/web conference

* Coordinate with other team members (programer, graphic designer, project manager) as needed

* Working with clients to understand their brand and their target market, and writing a Brand Positioning Statement

What we’re looking for:

* Excellent grammar, spelling and writing skills

* Solid math skills, Excel proficiency

* Attention to detail

* Promptness, professionalism, meet deadlines

* Versatile language skills

* Productive communication: team player, look for collaborative solutions

* Prior experience with SEO is preferred, but not required. We can train you on the basics of SEO

* Familiarity with Google Analytics, Webmaster Tools (Search Console), and AdWords preferred

* Prior experience with digital marketing preferred

* Experience with CMS platforms like WordPress and Shopify a plus

* Experience with SEO tools like SEM Rush, Screaming Frog, Moz, etc a big plus

* Creativity, ability to come up with marketing concepts that are fresh and compelling

Work environment:

* Work from home, coffee shop, wherever you’re comfortable. We don’t have an office.

* Approximately 10-15 hours a week, will fluctuate somewhat based on open projects. This could increase over time as we keep growing.
