What you’ll be doing

As a Senior XR Android Software Engineer you will be designing and implementing system-level and user-interfacing software for innovative extended reality solutions using client-server architectures, working mainly in C++, focusing on Native Android development. Establish detailed software architecture, feature design, and timeline, followed by hands-on implementation on cutting-edge embedded platforms. You will be responsible for the design, development, coding, testing, and verification of major system features. Integrate and validate new wireless technology concepts. Active participation in the team’s code and design review process to enhance system efficiency, stability, and scalability. Support software QA and optimize I/O performance. Close collaboration with system design and test teams.

What you will bring to XCOM

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering or a closely related field
• 3+ years of professional experience with Android Native coding in C/C++
• 1+ years of professional experience designing and implementing real-time multi-threaded applications
• 1+ years of professional experience with Android development with Java and Kotlin
• Proven experience with Android Studio and related on-target debugging, profiling, and development tools
• Familiarity with Modern C++

It’s a bonus if you have:

• Android Native coding in Modern C++
• OpenXR, OpenVR, and proprietary VR/AR SDKs
• Video and Audio codec utilization and optimization
• Position/Orientation/Motion tracking - capture and prediction
• Client-Server split-workload architectures for real-time systems
• Web-based user-interface design and implementation
• Software development for wireless systems/devices
• OOD/OOP concepts; OS concepts
• Design patterns, data structures and computer software algorithms
• Git and other SCM solutions concepts
• Networking concepts, protocol and networking tools (e.g. Wireshark, tcpdump)

• Debugging techniques for real-time software applications
• Optimizing software performance
• Generation of effective high-level and detailed design documentation
