Senior UX Researcher

Job Summary:

Exciting opportunity for an experienced, organized and results-oriented Senior UX Researcher to design a revolutionary mental wellness app. You will collaborate closely with talented business units, UI designers, and end users to develop a simple to use app targeting users worldwide. You are passionate about delivering products that WOW and contain a successful track record of using modern research practices to facilitate the design of successful consumer mobile apps. You possess excellent communication skills, excel under pressure, and build solutions that exceed user expectations. The UX Researcher is a critical role responsible for deeply understanding our target users through research, empathy and collaboration.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Design, conduct, and analyze user research and testing with a wide variety of methods and tools to create an app that addresses the needs of our target audience

· Design and execute end-to-end research studies using a wide variety of methods including recruiting, interviews, surveys, analysis, user stories, reporting

· Collaborate with cross-functional team members to identify, evaluate, and intersect business requirements with user expectations

· Work closely with product and design teams to identify research questions, build a research plan that will answer them, and communicate the insights to shape the user experiences of our mental health app and capabilities

· Create a deep understanding and empathy for our target customers

· Act as the voice of the user – advising design, checking impact, and helping users achieve their goals

· Design and implement qualitative and quantitative user research studies and testing

· Generate clear and actionable insights from research that drives product design and development

· Communicate findings and present suggestions in compelling and creative ways

· Determine pricing models that align with market conditions, business, and user expectations

Qualifications and Requirements:

· 5+ years of experience in a UX role to develop a mobile app or a Bachelor's Degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, or similar

· Portfolio demonstrating past work experience and deliverables (eg: questionnaires, study plans, reports, solutions) working on a published Mobile App

· Knowledge of research process and research methods (e.g., surveys and questionnaire design, personas, lab studies, diary studies, and other methods).

· Demonstrated experience performing all research and testing related tasks including study design, planning, implementation, analysis, and iteration

· Familiarity with a broad suite of research and testing methods and tools (including remote tools)

· Experience working with SurveyMonkey/Momentive, Pollfish, Sawtooth Software, Dovetail, Figma or similar

· The ability to manage ambiguity, work autonomously, and multi-task in an agile environment to deliver high-quality work on schedule

· Excellent presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills; the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and across varying levels of the organization

· Hands-on experience with iterative prototype testing, concept testing, field research, international research, and survey design

· Exceptional behavioral data-collection and analysis skills, e.g., designing, conducting, and analyzing all kinds of user data

· Strong grasp of quantitative data analysis, statistics and data visualizations

· Clear written and verbal communications to all levels of the organization and with external agencies/freelancers

· Team player, solid work ethic, willing to pitch in where needed

· Experience working on building a mental health service app or service, preferred

· Availability to meet via Zoom and/or on site in Orange County, preferred

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $3,333.33 per month
