Senior Systems Engineer
Mayvin is currently seeking experienced applicants to serve as a Senior Weapons Software Engineer to lead a team supporting program management support activities focused on systems engineering and engineering lifecycle support to DoD weapons systems. Place of performance is Dahlgren, VA. This is a contingent hire position.

Must be a US Citizen to be considered for this position.
Must possess an active SECRET clearance as a minimum.
SALARY RANGE: $120K - $150K
Responsibilities:
- Performs systems engineering functions by doing one or more of the following:
- Develop, allocate and manage complex system, hardware and software requirements
- Define hardware, software, and programmable logic interfaces and functionality.
- Prepare and/or review documentation for system designs and architectures in accordance with established systems engineering processes and procedures
- Perform system/product integration
- Verify and validate moderately complex aspects of systems designs to ensure conformance with functional specifications and customer requirements for DoD weapons systems
- Produce and/or review technical documents, specifications and standards
- May support various specialty-engineering tasks such as Reliability, Maintainability & Availability analysis, Integrated Logistics Support.
- Prepare and deliver basic customer and technical presentations.
A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline.- Ten (10) years professional technical experience, including: at least six (6) years of specialized engineering experience towards one of the following areas;
- Weapons systems (minor and large gun, and small munitions)
- Weapons system architecture, or DoD Certification (interface control documents, tracking weapon system compliance to sponsor capability production documents, and performing airworthiness assessments).
- Experience with DOORS, Atlassian Jira, and/or SolidWorks Enterprise Product Data Management.
- Candidate is required to pass a background check.
- Must hold an active DoD Secret security clearance.
Preferred:
- Experience and knowledge of the DoD 5000 series instruction regarding DoD Acquisition
- Experience with Navy weapon control systems or weapons, and platform integration.
