BASIC PURPOSE:

The Senior Recruiter manages and administers the talent acquisition and onboarding programs. Activities include sourcing, recruitment, new hire processes, onboarding, summer internship program, and other functional areas and duties as necessary to ensure maximum effectiveness of the Human Resources department.

The role requires familiarity with a variety of Human Resources professional practices, concepts, and procedures, and it interfaces with all levels of management, employees, candidates, and Human Resources-related vendors. As required, the Senior Recruiter will support the entire spectrum of Human Resources services to include employee development, communications, compliance and reporting.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Talent Acquisition
  • Lead full life-cycle recruitment efforts for exempt/nonexempt positions including: networking, screening, sourcing, interviewing, and recommending candidates.
  • Responsible for developing and implementing a strategic sourcing plan to maintain a pipeline of qualified potential candidates for critical, repeatable roles.
  • Coordinate and execute the job posting of open positions both internally and externally, as appropriate.
  • Assist with social media and cultivate outreach activities with external organizations that are potential sources of talent.
  • Source passive candidates through networking, cold calling, advertisements, job fairs and internet research.
  • Develop ideas and implement programs to continuously further diversity outreach and recruitment efforts.
  • Continually evaluate current and potential diversity recruitment practices, ideas, opportunities, and partnerships to increase ability to source diverse candidates.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to develop specific criteria for each search, determine the best avenue for recruiting candidates, and continually evaluate the recruiting strategy to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans.
  • Develop strong relationship with hiring managers. Advise and educate hiring managers regarding interview and hiring process and effective candidate assessment.
  • Generate the complete background screening process for candidates. Obtain and review reports and all other pertinent information necessary before extending an offer.
  • Collaborate with hiring manager and colleagues when developing and extending offers of employment to selected candidates.
  • Manage all related new hire processes.
  • Ability to review metrics, assess target areas, and create solutions to improve results.
  • Plan and coordinate internal Career Fair(s).
  • Continually champion and evaluate effectiveness of Employee Referral Bonus program.
  • Manage and administer the annual summer internship program and associated recruiting efforts.
  • Liaison with employment agencies.
  • Administer exit interview survey including reporting to management.
Onboarding
  • Plan, coordinate and guide onboarding program with related onboarding events, including the new hire orientation and new hire quarterly events to ensure focus on the new hire experience.
  • Administer and report on new hire survey.
  • Ensure tools and onboarding resources are in place for creating a positive new hire experience.
  • Update as needed onboarding resources for employees and managers.
  • Research onboarding best practices and support ongoing improvement of employee onboarding experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
Strong and effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and interact with employees and all levels of management.
Strong customer focus with successful experience in building and fostering relationships.
Strong knowledge and use of applicants tracking systems, Workday is preferred.
Strong documentation skills, detail-orientation, and project coordination skills.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related field.
4+ years of full life-cycle recruiting experience -blend of agency and corporate environment (not high volume/high turnover), or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
WORK LOCATION: Onsite with an opportunity to work remote partially.
