Duties: Design, develop, and test new features for the server component of App Control, VMware’s market-leading cybersecurity product. Author novel product features. Author automated tests in Javascript and Python. Serve as a member of an Agile development Scrum team, responsible for breaking down work into Agile stories. Estimate the work required to complete Agile stories and participate in its completion. Resolve code defects, including security defects. Champion releases of the App Control server software by negotiating which of the team’s work will be included in the release and coordinating and testing these issues. Monitor internal deployment server to determine performance of release candidate. Participate in release planning of future releases. Participate in cross product technical design discussions with agent teams.

Requirements: Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related technical/quantitative field, and two (2) years of experience in job offered or related position.

Employer requires at least five (5) of the following skills gained through industry experience:

• Object Oriented Design and Development using C#;
• Soap Services or Rest APIs;
• UI/Web Development using PHP, JavaScript, JQuery, or CSHTML/CSS technologies;
• Database fundamentals and SQL skills in tuning SQL performance;
• Version control tool such as GIT or TFS;
• Application and service-based security protocols and mechanism such as Oauth2 or CORS;
• Secure coding techniques such as SQL Injection or Cross Site Scripting;
• Writing automation test cases using Python and Javascript.

For CO, NY, CA and WA residents, the salary range for this position is $141,378 to $241,000/year. The actual offer will be based on the role, location, and individual candidate experience.
