Maps Credit Union seeks a data-driven Senior Market Research Analyst to assist with the development of the Credit Union’s strategic marketing. This position is responsible for designing and executing strategic market research projects that generate actionable insights to help us better serve our members, primarily by accessing our Business Intelligence Database.
The Senior Market Research Analyst will:
- Use statistical analysis to generate trends, test hypotheses, and create recommendations. Experience with SQL relational database systems, including data gathering and preparation.
- Work with large datasets using tools such as Python and R to provide insights and create accurate reports and analyses.
- Create forecasts and modelings such as next-best production suggestions and lifetime value estimates.
- Uses analytics to make recommendations to optimize the performance of the organization's digital properties, including website, online and mobile ads, social media and google ads.
- Direct the central market research function, anticipate and provide useful market information, and establish standards for research methodology.
- Direct market research in design, conduct, evaluation and presentation of market research on established and prospective customers, competitors, and products in order to predict sales potential, market conditions, and identify opportunities to expand the scope of business.
- Review market share data by branch and region and recommend strategies for increasing market penetration.
- Gather and present results of marketing campaigns, including digital channels, and identify areas for improvement.
- Work with the VP of Marketing to develop strategies for targeting different demographic groups. Research appending BI with income, occupation, and home ownership.
- Develop member survey methodology. Conduct member surveys to determine satisfaction levels and product needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Research and Development, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3-5 years of market analyst or related marketing experience.
- Accurate typing/keyboarding skills. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Pivot Tables.
- Strong analytical spreadsheet and communication skills, including tools such as SQL, Python, Tableau, Statistical Analysis, Conjoint Analysis, A/B testing, and experimental design.
- Financial institution experience preferred.
- Must possess a valid Oregon driver’s license.
- Must be bondable.

Exempt Salary Range: $56,735.08 - $84,102.62
This position is eligible for flex-hybrid work (2-days in the office and 3-days remote per week). It is not 100% remote.
