Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits currently seeks a Senior Manager Marketing Insights and Analytics who possesses the following: the primary responsibility of this position is to work closely with the Marketing Department to identify risks and opportunities based on the analysis of category/marketplace dynamics, retailer nuances and competitive threats/weaknesses. The position will lead the monthly and quarterly review of brand depletions, distribution, and IRI sales and share, with a focus on understanding brand performance, competitive activity and insights that will unlock opportunities. This is a remote job; however, candidates should reside in the Northeast.
Qualifications:
- BS/BA degree in Marketing, Statistics or Finance; MBA Preferred
- 8+ years of experience in sales analysis/planning and syndicated data analysis within a consumer products organization (Bev Alc preferred)
- Excellent judgment and strategic thinking skills
- Ability to independently analyze large amounts of data and distill into an understandable format
- Must be adept at managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Outstanding leadership skills: ability to use influence to build consensus across both leaders and peers
- Must be a self-motivated individual who has the ability to identify issues/opportunities for improvement and be proactive in addressing them
- Requires innovation to provide management with alternative solutions and recommendations
- Intellectual curiosity, passion for problem-solving, a test-and-learn mentality and thrives in ambiguity
- Strong understanding of IRI metrics and decision tree
- Commercial experience/exposure to sales organization and selling tools to support sales efforts
- Advanced proficiency in both Excel and PPT
Responsibilities:
- Thought leadership position, serving as first point of contact for all questions related to brand sales, distribution, and share performance – requires daily communication with marketing Executives and Directors of marketing to proactively communicate sales results, risks and opportunities.
- Responsible for all communication, analyses and forecasting for brand teams.
- Provide monthly analysis and recap of IRI results.
- Assist in preparation for key supplier and internal meetings in order to better understand and/or explain business challenges.
- Utilize multiple additional data sources such as Diver, Cognos, SalesNav, and other internal databases.
- Leverage large amounts of data to explain complex business challenges and depict explanations and solutions in a concise, easily understood format.
- Deliver insights that drive our short-term and long-term brand plans
- Provide visibility to competitive challenges and opportunities
- Deliver brand-level ad hoc “deep dive” needs
- Use data to create compelling fact-based benefits for brand-selling tools
