Job Summary
Leads the development and implementation of best-in-class Agile project management methodologies, tools, and processes for projects across the organization. Develops, monitors, and oversees the training strategy for the enterprise. Mentors and coaches executive leadership on the proper usage of Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, and Scaled Agile Framework ﴾SAFe﴿. Leads, manages, and trains a team of SAFeAgile Coaches and other project management professionals to implement consistent Agile project management methodologies. Develops policies and procedures regarding project team oversight, training, project budgets, scheduling, status reports, and audits.
Essential Functions
- Establishes, manages, guides, and mentors the Lean-Agile Center of Excellence (LACE) and team of SAFe/Agile coaches.
- Leads the development and implementation of Agile project management methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
- Serves as a champion in the implementation and adaptation of Agile project management across the enterprise. Advocates for the implementation of Agile project management methodologies at all levels of the organization. Oversees ongoing Agile project management usage across the enterprise.
- Partners with and guides executive and senior leadership through strategic and annual business planning processes. Directs monthly & quarterly business reviews. Advises senior leadership team on balanced scorecard strategy and execution.
- Develops, implements, and oversees Lean Portfolio Management to guide product team planning, handle dependencies and risks, and implement strategic initiatives.
- Develops, monitors, and oversees training, development, and mentorship plans for project management professionals, development teams, Release Train Engineers, Scrum masters, product owners, Scrum teams, team leaders, and executive leadership on Agile project management methodologies. Creates and facilitates organizational learning including Communities of Practice (CoP).
- Creates and implements objectives and key results (OKR) frameworks to support the execution of the enterprise vision. Builds and tracks portfolio-level OKRs and metrics across the enterprise. Oversees tracking of key metrics such as flow, predictability, productivity, and quality. Assists teams in implementing solutions to remediate problems.
- Actively participates in both the internal and external Agile community to stay abreast of challenges, leading practices, and emerging trends.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent Technical / Business experience (Required)
- 12+ years relevant work experience (Preferred)
- 5+ years coaching and mentoring project management professionals, Agile coaches, development teams, and business leadership in Agile project management methodologies (Preferred)
- 4-7 years relevant leadership experience including directing the work of others (Preferred)
- Industry-recognized Agile project management certification: SAFe Practice Consultant (SPC) Certification, or SAFe Practice Consultant Trainer (SPCT) certification, or equivalent (Required)
- Up to 10% travel may be required
