W2 Contract to hire

At this client, the Sr. Experience Designer’s primary responsibility will be to lead the design of digital products and experiences, including websites, mobile apps, and other digital platforms. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and UI designers, to create intuitive, user-centered designs that meet the needs of clients and their customers.

A Sr. Experience Strategist thrives in an environment where innovation is the primary focus. They enjoy considering assignments through macro and micro views. They are adept at determining which perspective is appropriate to use in a situation. They also love to drive clarity; ambiguity is a space of comfort. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team to drive alignment and create human-centric experiences that deliver on business and brand strategies, user insights, and technology requirements.
    • Research the problem space, identify user needs, and recommend client opportunities.
    • Lead, facilitate and conduct research through various methodologies including contextual inquiries, interviews, workshops, moderated and unmoderated usability studies, as well as competitive UX analysis, feature audits, heuristic evaluations, etc.
    • Synthesize research and strategic recommendations into a compelling presentation narrative.
    • Translate data analysis into experience architecture (e.g. sitemaps & wireframes) and articulate research findings and strategic recommendations for design application (e.g. consult through UI design and development).
    • Create experience journeys and roadmaps that bring the brand to life in a way that is meaningful to users.
    • Developing and implementing user experience (UX) strategies that meet project goals and objectives.
    • Conducting user research and testing to inform design decisions and improve the user experience.
    • Creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that demonstrate design concepts and functionality.
    • Collaborating with development teams to ensure that designs are technically feasible and delivered to the highest quality.
    • Communicating design ideas and concepts to clients and other stakeholders through presentations and design specifications.
    • Mentoring and leading junior designers to ensure the quality of work meets agency standards.
    • Staying up-to-date with emerging design trends, techniques, and technologies.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in design, HCI, or a related field.
    • 5+ years of agency or consultancy experience in UX design, with a focus on digital products and services.
    • A strong portfolio of design work that showcases your ability to articulate strategy, experience architecture, and recommendations.
    • Expertise in design tools, such as Miro, Figma, AdobeXD, and prototyping tools to produce architecture and experience documentation.
    • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
    • Experience working with cross-functional teams in an agile environment.
    • A passion for user-centered design and a willingness to advocate for the user in all aspects of the design process.
