POSTION SUMMARY::


EPS is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer: to serve as a senior subject matter expert and direct the planning, design, and modifications of individual software engineering projects. This position is in Logan, UT.


ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

• Develop and implement innovative solutions to optimize processes;
• Develop and provide technical support to developer teams around battery management software;
• Develop software requirements and software architectures;
• Generate and validate software code;
• Use source debuggers and visual development environments;
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications to help manage project priorities and timelines;
• Write, modify, and debug software for client applications;
• Provide analytical support and direction for the Software Engineering team, and mentor junior members;
• Test and document software for client applications;
• Analyze existing software to strategize about upgrades, features, or new platforms.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS :

• Bachelor’s in computer engineering; Master’s Degree preferred;
• 3-5 years of Embedded software engineering experience;
• 3-5 years in safety critical software development;
• Development of software for fault-tolerant/redundant embedded systems;
• Development of automation tools with Python;
• Use of continuous integration pipelines and software deployment systems;
• Configuration of compiler toolchains and build systems;
• Strong understanding of industry standards, contracts, and protocols;
• Strong understanding of automotive drivelines and vehicle architectures;
