We are looking for an experienced senior level desktop technician to join our Desktop Support Team at our East Orlando Support Center. This team delivers a complete lifecycle of IT services for our employees, from onboarding to decommission. This position requires an on-call rotation and the flexibility to meet unexpected situations that require technology support. Candidates must have a minimum of 4 years of experience to be considered for this role. Compensation for this role begins at $58,000.
What will I be doing in this role?
- Responsible for repairing, maintaining, upgrading, and installing computers and related peripheral equipment.
- Perform diagnostic testing to determine source of problems and makes necessary repairs.
- Provide after-hours or weekend support as part of an on-call rotation.
- Support all end-user clients, including training end-users on the effective operation of all desktops/equipment.
- Complete assigned jobs within our Service Level Agreement and updates progress on all outstanding issue with supervisor.
- Setup, log, and prepare all hardware/software fixed assets for new and existing locations.
- Provide second level support to repair or to determine problems in computer systems and related equipment.
- Update and maintain all software on internal notebooks and desktops.
- Protect and destroy sensitive data as appropriate, including reformatting /discarding of all decommissioned hardware.
- Create and maintain scripts to automate software deployment and IT hardware fleet management.
- Assist in purchasing new hardware/software.
- Function as a technical lead in the absence of the Technology Services Manager.
What experience do I need?
- 4+ years of professional experience building, deploying and troubleshooting computer systems, hardware, printers, software, and IP networks within an enterprise environment.
- Experience supporting Microsoft technologies such as the E3 stack.
- A+, Network+, MCSE, and other technical certifications.
- Ability to address and resolve information technology issues promptly, effectively and independently.
- Ability to use and write scripts (PowerShell) and use automation systems to efficiently manage projects involving thousands of endpoints.

- Ability to learn new standards and methods in the ever-changing technology arena.
- Be able to regularly lift up to 25 lbs. for duties such as delivering computers, unpacking and rack-mounting equipment, etc.
- Be willing to occasionally work extended hours and overtime as needed.
- Flexible to work various shift patterns (i.e. shift times range between 7:30am – 6:30pm).
