The Sr. Demand Planner will be responsible for developing demand plans by product, channel, and customer. The role will be responsible for analyzing point of sales, market, historical and forward-looking data to provide accurate signals to the Operations team. As an integral part of the S&OP process the Sr. Demand Planner will inform the organization on annual projections, including risks and opportunities. We're looking for a team player with a curious and proactive approach to work.
Core responsibilities – about the role

• Develop annual Sales demand plans by month by product franchise, channel, and retailer.
• Assemble and analyze all data pertinent to creating the sales forecast (historical sales, market trends, seasonality, promotions, POS and inventory levels).
• Provide in depth information on customer program performance and trends.
• Establish effective and supportive working relationships with the Sales & Finance teams.
• Provide input into and participate in the monthly S&OP meetings.
• Monitor performance vs. the forecast throughout the month identifying any key shifts or trends.
• Analyze forecast variation/deviation with the goal to minimize service issues and prevent the build of excess & obsolete inventory.
• Analyze and interpret SKU effectiveness and efficiency, guide/drive SKU rationalization.
• Utilize and suggest improvements to analytical tools and processes to support forecast development.
• Exhibit exceptional communication, follow through, and organizational skills.
• Create ad hoc reports as requested.

Qualifications – about you

• 3+ years' experience in supply chain / demand planning or related field.
• Expert in Excel
• Ability to work in a team atmosphere
• A proactive and curious mindset
• Experience in the cosmetic industry or in a CPG environment is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, statistics, mathematics, economics, or related field preferred
• Expert with modeling, forecasting, reporting tools, & supply/demand matching.
• Ability to collaborate and influence cross-functionally.
