JOBThe Upper Arlington Parks and Recreation Department is seeking a dedicated, customer service oriented individual to assist customer needs with on-site and off-site programs offered by the Senior Center, as well as maintaining a safe and clean environment for the benefit of those attending programs. Flexibility with scheduling is preferred as programs are offered during the day, as well as evenings and weekends. Applicants with availability to work Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays are preferred.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Greets and assists participants with check-in upon arrival at program areas. Maintains accurate records including daily class rosters, incident/accident reports, and accurately communicates information to assigned supervisor in a timely manner.Provides assistance to participants and the public as necessary for proper use of facilities and program spaces, and helps to ensure successful implementation of programs offered by program supervisors and instructors.Cleans and sanitizes programs areas/equipment between classes/participants as necessary.Ensure facilities such as walkways, hallways, restrooms, drinking fountains, and program areas are clean and facility/program supplies are adequately stocked as needed during daily operations. Sets up and tears down tables and chairs for meetings, special events, classes and programs.Is able to lift and/or move objects up to twenty pounds.Ensures participants abide by facility and program guidelines for the benefit and safety of all in attendance.Ensures the Senior Center is opened and closed at scheduled times; maintains the security of the building and is responsible for safety action during emergency situations.Performs other related duties as assigned.
