What does it mean to be a Senior Business Intelligence Developer at GLS?

As a Senior Business Intelligence Developer, you will be responsible for leading business intelligence functions including but not limited to identifying data, analyzing data, and delivering data-driven insights using various query tools, data visualizations and interactive dashboards.

How will you drive value within the organization as a Senior Data Integration Developer?

• Participates and help make architectural decisions for Business Intelligence platform
• Identifies need for tools to solve business problems and create a proof-of-concept to help company pick right tool for the right thing
• Designs, builds, enhances, and maintains both historical and real-time interactive dashboards and reports that are to be used by analysts, applications, and external business partners
• Efficient use of SQL and other tools to have scalable, reliable and performant reports/dashboards
• Automates ad-hoc reports, optimize user queries, and facilitate data research and understanding
• Implements data security measures to protect PII and other sensitive information in reports

What should you already know to be successful as a Senior Data Integration Developer?

• Minimum of bachelor’s degree required. Internal candidates at the Specialist (S2) level with commensurate experience and a track record of sustained, top performance against company standards may be considered
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in Business Intelligence role that includes building graphs and charts to communicate useful insights in the data
• Must be proficient in SQL including joins, inserts, updates, deletes, conditional logic, subqueries, temp tables, and complex data transformation functions
• Knowledge of relational database management and data warehouse systems required
• Experience reviewing datasets for data quality required
• Experience with unstructured or semi-structured data (ex. XML, JSON) a plus
• Experience with data integration tools like SSIS and Talend is a plus

Employment Requirements:

• Must be able to pass a criminal background check
• This position is full-time
• This is an exempt level position whereby business need will dictate the exact work schedule which should be expected to vary at times. Generally, days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00am-6:00pm
• Regular, predictable attendance is required, including in excess of 40 hours as business demands dictate
• Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand
• The position does not require travel

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $90,000.00 per year

Experience:

• Power BI: 2 years (Preferred)
• SQL: 2 years (Preferred)
