Medium is a remote-first, fully distributed 78-person-company with folks based within the U.S., U.K. and Paris. We’re hiring a Sr. Administrative Assistant to join our team, reporting to the Head of People . You’ll be responsible for calendar management of the CEO, scheduling and coordination of company meetings (All Hands, Board Meetings, team & culture events, new hire orientation schedules, etc.), business travel arrangements, and other critical administrative tasks.
This role can be done from anywhere within the U.S., and may require occasional travel for Company Offsites or Board Meetings. The salary range for this position is between $115k-$125k per year, with the addition of stock options and a generous benefits package.

What you'll do:
- Provide direct support to the CEO and handle calendar management & assistance
- Assist with management of calendar and contacts, including scheduling meetings to avoid conflicts
- Coordinating meetings across time zones and competing priorities for the Executive team and other departments when needed
- Support Company All Hands and Board Meetings: helping to build the agenda, pull presentations together, email communication, calendar invite management, note taking, etc.
- Support new Medians joining the team by coordinating their first week, in partnership with the People Team and Function Heads
- Help coordinate workshops and other team sessions in partnership with appropriate departments
- Manage ad-hoc tasks as they arise, helping to coordinate logistics required for board meetings, company retreats, off-sites and company events with support from the People team & other operations focused team members
- Ensure all calendars are up to date 24/7
