J. McLaughlin is looking for a hands-on individual to take over several aspects of the financial/accounting process. Only motivated self-starters need apply. Essential requirements include strong math and logic skills, a strong computer aptitude, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, dependability, flexibility, outgoing and friendly attitude, and the ability to communicate well.

About the role

Job Responsibilities:

• All aspects of General Accounting in a manufacturing/retail/wholesale environment
• Cash flow and analysis
• Bank reconciliations
• Account reconciliations and analysis
• Journal entries
• Fixed asset management
• Inventory reconciliation and analysis
• Management of any company borrowing/interest payments
• System upgrades/implementations
• Assistance with, or spearheading of, external audits.

What we are looking for

Skills & Requirements:

• Accounting degree with a minimum of 4 years of general ledger accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with luxury retail/wholesale apparel/accessories industry preferred
• Knowledge of Manufacturing and Cost Accounting
• Commercial Real Estate experience a plus
• Proficiency with Great Plains or related accounting software preferred
• Strong Excel skills required
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
• Self-motivated, with excellent communication skills
• Positive, Friendly, “Can-do” attitude
• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize and meet deadlines
• Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor
