About the Senior Accountant at Headspace Health:
We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant who's excited to work alongside a growing world class team to tackle a variety of accounting challenges as Headspace Health continues to scale. Bring your experiences, learn, and continue to develop your career as we further elevate our GL accounting and financial reporting & analysis. The ideal candidate is system savvy, meticulous, personable, and able to work both independently as well as part of the team. The position reports to the Accounting Manager and will regularly collaborate with the Controller, FP&A, and across departments.
How your skills and passion will come to life at Headspace Health:
- Hands on involvement and integral contributor to the full cycle accounting process for multiple entities (in multiple currencies) and consolidated financial statements
- Maintain overall accuracy and integrity of the general ledger, and ensure financial statements are in compliance with US GAAP
- Ensure compliance with appropriate internal controls
- Participate in the timely preparation and completion of month end, quarter end and year end closing activities
- Prepare monthly recurring journal entries and account reconciliations
- Prepare income statement and balance sheet variances analysis
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements
- Assist with the annual audits, including the preparation of schedules provided to auditors
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and minimize inefficiencies
- Assist with special projects, as necessary
What you've accomplished:
- 3+ years of relevant accounting experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- Well-rounded technical US GAAP accounting skills
- CPA certification a plus
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience with major ERP systems (Netsuite a plus)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability and desire to learn and grow
- Ability to focus on priorities and follow through to meet deadlines
- Flexible and quick to adapt to new challenges
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
