Senior Account Manager

Senior Account Manager:
The Senior Account Manager understands all aspects of the Freight Brokerage environment. They will take a proactive approach to coaching CSRs and AMs to success. They will also be proactive in helping Carrier Sales develop a carrier base around their managed accounts.
Responsibilities:

  • Close sales through cold calling and other methods of lead generation
  • Manage accounts assigned and brought on to meet customer expectations
  • Take proactive approach to carrier development within managed accounts
  • Follow and achieve sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis
  • Compile and review metrics with customers monthly
  • Rate negotiations with customers to meet market demands & company marginal goals
  • Data Entry integrity & accuracy with Traditions TMS and CRM system
  • Some afterhours responsibilities

Qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience the industry or related field preferred
  • Excellent selling, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Ability to handle rejection without despair
  • Relationship management skills and open to direct feedback
  • 2-year or 4-year College Degree (Bachelors Preferred)
  • In office position- 45 hours weekly

Compensation

  • $55,000 yearly salary
  • Bonuses based off performance- commission structure outlined below

Tier Commission Structure:

  • $0-$14,999 - No commission
  • $15,000 - $49,999 - 3% of total margin
  • $50,000 + - 5% of total margin

  • Additional sales commission:
  • The account manager will receive an additional 5% of margin per load moved on new accounts (defined as loads not already set up with Freedom/Tradition) this individual adds to their book of business. Same minimum goals apply to qualify.
  • Minimum requirements by rep:
  • $15,000 in margin to qualify for first tier
  • All numbers are driven off delivered loads within the given month for accounts assigned
  • Based and paid monthly trailing 6-8 weeks for collections
