Looking for a flexible position where you can make your own schedule? Just for Kidz Therapy is currently seeking an experienced Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team. Applicants MUST have at least 1 year of experience working with children age 5 and under as we primarily do Early Intervention in the child's natural environment.

We are a pediatric therapy practice offering play-based occupational therapy in western Broward.  Our mission is to help children become more communicative, engaged, and independent so that they, and their families, can engage in meaningful activities together and enjoy their relationships more.

Just for Kidz Therapy is a neurodiversity-affirming practice that approaches therapeutic work with the understanding that Autism, ADHD, Learning Disabilities, and other neurodevelopmental conditions aren’t problems to be “cured” or “solved”, but individual neurotypes that come with unique strengths and challenges. Our goal is to build on the individual’s strengths and to teach them skills or adaptations that will lessen the challenges. We accomplish this by respecting the child, their likes and dislikes, and avoiding the use of compliance-based techniques.

**The area for this position would be Coral Springs (South of Sample Rd), Margate, North Lauderdale, Tamarac, Sunrise & Plantation. All west of the Turnpike.

We require a minimum of 10 hours a week with some afternoon availability. The pay rate is $37.60.

The ideal candidate will:

-Have experience in pediatrics (required)

-Have experience providing services in the natural environment (preferred)

- Be certified or willing to become certified in relationship-based, developmental approach such as DIR Floortime (preferred)

-Be comfortable with providing parent coaching (preferred)

-Carry professional liability insurance

-Be willing and interested in learning and growing as a practitioner

-Have excellent written and verbal communication skills

-Be able to interact with children with respect, playfulness, and empathy

-Be able to collaborate with other disciplines (PT, Speech)
