Scope:


To ensure the safety and tranquil stay of hotel guests and employees, to assist as needed, to enforce the policies and procedures of the hotel and to record in writing any assigned task. Prepare incident and accident reports accurately and in the format specified by the Chief Engineer.


Primary Responsibilities:


Ø To observe and report both verbally and in writing on all assignments.

Ø Ability to use radio equipment and keep accurate records. Proper telephone etiquette.

Ø Patrol the hotel property.

Ø Report and record all unsafe conditions.

Ø Certified in first aid and CPR and maintain thorough knowledge of fire and fire alarm procedures.

Ø To ensure the protection and preservation of hotel, guest and employee property.

Ø Maintain current and thorough knowledge of the resorts emergency and life safety procedures.

Ø Ability to accept and complete specific assigned tasks.

Ø Enforce hotel policies and procedures.

Ø Check in and out keys for the hotel with proper identification.

Ø First response team for emergencies.

Ø Provides a professional image at all times through appearance and dress.

Ø Follows company policies and procedures.


Relationships:


Internal: Hotel Staff: To assist with safety

Human Resources: Record incidents for worker’s compensation accidents reports.


External: Hotel Guests and Visitors: To provide a safe environment.


Qualifications:


Education/Experience: High School diploma or equivalent. A minimum of 1 year of experiences.


Certification and/or License Requirement: None

Skills:

Attention to detail.

Customer service.


Working Conditions:

Will be required to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Will be required to work in fast paced environment.

May be asked to work overtime.

The vast majority of time is to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The Associate frequently is required to talk or hear. The Associate is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and or smell.


The Associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus. Specific hearing abilities required by this job include good hearing ability, ability to hear alarms and distinguish sounds.


This person must be able to receive instructions and communicate progress and or completion of the assignment. Carrying or lifting items that weigh approximately 50 pounds occurs often.


Reading and writing abilities are utilized some of the time when having to receive written instructions, or to document the progress of certain incidents.
