Security Officer – Full Time (MGM Springfield) - Springfield, Massachusetts

THE JOB:

As a Security Officer, you will set the stage by being a front-line ambassador for the property while creating a premier, safe, and secure environment for our guests and staff.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

· You will be responsible for patrolling and monitoring the property and respond to emergency situations. Patrolling may include, but not limited to, bending, lifting, carrying, running, and extended time periods of standing and/or walking.

· Work in conjunction with state and local law enforcement

· Direct foot and vehicular traffic in emergencies; work with departments throughout the property on security related issues

· Follow departmental practices, policies, and legal requirements; write reports and ensure they are complete and accurate prior to submission, ensure equipment is accounted for prior to leaving for the day

· Write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as property damage, theft, guest or employee accidents, or unusual occurrences and report it to the security management.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

· Must be at least 18 years or older

· Will be required to obtain a valid Gaming License per the Massachusetts Gaming Commission

· Ability to obtain and maintain CPR/AED Certification

· Ability to obtain Alcohol Awareness Card

· Able to identify and resolve issues calmly and efficiently (deescalate any issues if needed)

· Customer-service oriented as you will engage with the public daily

· Looks forward to getting in some extra steps during their workday

· Self-initiator, quick thinker, independent and resilient especially in difficult scenarios

· Looks forward to working with a team to provide positive experiences

· Likes to create an environment that promotes safety and mutual respect

· Previous security, military, or law enforcement experience

· An individual looking to have a career in law enforcement
