Security Guard – Night Shift

Pharmaceutical manufacturing plant has an immediate DIRECT HIRE opening for a reliable and conscientious security guard to join their team. Company offers a competitive hourly rate and stellar benefits!

The site security guard is a direct support to the security team to provide a safe and secure work environment for the protection of employees, products, and resources from both internal and external threats. Greets employees, visitors and customers while always maintaining secure access to the building.

12 hour shifts from 6 PM to 6 AM, must be flexible with shift coverage needs.

Rotating schedule

• Week 1 - Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday
• Week 2 - Monday, Tuesday, Saturday

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

· Provides physical protection of specified assets on a shift of operation. Staffs a post and/or patrols to maintain access control, prevent diversion of controlled substances, detect, and deter unauthorized entry or individuals, detect fire or other emergencies, prevent loss and or infractions of rules.

· To observe, report and respond to unusual or suspicious activity and to immediately notify supervision.

· Reports incidents and emergencies to the site or corporate Security Center.

· Complete incident reports, as necessary.

· Must be able to complete multi-functional assignments, day to day functions, and provide departmental support in a timely manner.

· Assists with compliance in DEA registered sites.

· Under general supervision, follows prescribed procedures in performing assigned DEA and security responsibilities within the Corp DEA & Security Department to ensure accountability of controlled drug substances and provide a safe and secure work environment for the protection and management of all company assets including employees, products, and resources.

· For multiple locations, monitors, maintains, and/or controls alarm, access, and Video Management and/or communication systems.

· Complies with applicable federal state and local regulations and laws, company policies and procedures.

· Performs other assignments as requested or as business needs require.

Primary Outcomes:

• Security Operations policies are consistently enforced.
• Emergency assistance is rendered as needed.
• Maintain security and prevent diversion of controlled drug substances.
• It is the responsibility of the officer to remain flexible and available to meet scheduling changes to ensure all required places of duty are properly staffed.
• Strive to meet or exceed departmental and company goals.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED required, criminal justice coursework a plus!
• Six months to one year of security, police, or military
• Ability to render first aid or emergency treatment until formal assistance arrives.
• Must be proficient with the items detailed in the basic training and procedures checklist at your base facility/primary site and proficient in C’Cure within three months of hire. Complete any additional certifications deemed necessary by management.

***Will be required to complete a background and drug screen prior to starting.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
