The Security/Fire Alarm Technician Role:

The Security/Fire Alarm Technician position reports to the Vice President. This position also works closely with the Sales team and the Operations Coordinator/Scheduler to install and service residential and small commercial Fire, Security, Card Access, and Video Camera systems. Daily travel to client sites is required. The majority of our clients are located within the state of Pennsylvania, specifically between Harrisburg and Philadelphia. Aside from a strong technical knowledge of Fire, Security, Card Access, and Video Camera systems, this role requires accurate, detail-driven documentation to be completed and submitted in a timely manner, in addition to strong Customer Service skills. SAH, Inc. provides the Security/Fire Alarm Technician with a company vehicle w/ AAA membership, a fuel card, a company-issued laptop, a company-issued tablet, a company-issued cell phone, and all necessary tools and training to complete the job duties.

The position entails:

• Understanding blueprints and floor plans
• Unboxing, hanging, and wiring Fire, Security, Card Access, and Video Camera systems
• Programming Fire, Security, Card Access, and Video Camera systems
• Testing all components of Fire, Security, Card Access, and Video Camera systems
• Certifying Fire, Security, Card Access, and Video Camera systems using SAH, Inc. and industry forms
• Documenting installation/service progress, parts used, and work orders via web-based platform daily
• Providing excellent Customer Service to clients through customer training and technical support on-site, including On-Call rotation
• Sustaining an immaculately clean and organized work area on client sites
• Maintaining an exceptionally neat and organized work vehicle with all necessary parts, tools, and equipment for current and upcoming projects
• Anything necessary to contribute to the success of SAH, Inc.
• Travel to customer sites to service, complete system install, perform systems maintenance, including trouble-shooting and diagnosing problems, inspection, testing and programming.
• Respond to system trouble calls primarily consisting of intrusion, building access, and video surveillance systems.
• Process associated documentation in accordance with company and customer contractual standards.

Where you'll be located:

• Ideally, you're located in Berks or a surrounding county
• You will be based out of our corporate office in Shillington, PA, though daily travel to the office is not necessary
• Travel to customer sites primarily throughout the state of Pennsylvania will be necessary
• You must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver's license and good driving record to drive a company vehicle.

What you bring:

• Strong passion for providing exceptional customer service required
• Outstanding interpersonal, organizational, problem solving, and communication skills required
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and similar technology required
• At least 18 years of age with a valid driver's license and clear driving record required
• Criminal background clearance required
• Security Installation (3-5 years) preferred
